After visiting an exhibition at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, they enjoyed a stroll through Retiro Park in Madrid before heading to dinner at a nearby Michelin-starred restaurant called El Corral de la Moreria that same evening.
Frederick, who had been without his wife Crown Princess Mary for 19 years, was said to have left Spain the next morning after being taken to the airport in an embassy car.
