Dona Ruth, mother of Marília Mendonça, reacted sharply to a comedian who was accused of making fun of the death of the country girl. On Wednesday evening (8), Ruth explained that comedian Giovana Fagundes wanted to attract attention through the tragedy and urged the public not to give her a chance.
“Good evening, my ‘followers’. Comedian apologizes
Following the controversy, Giovana publicly apologized for the joke. In the early hours of this Thursday (9) she said she never intended to make fun of the death of the country girl. “I was very nervous before I got on the plane, during and after. The first person who came to me at that time was Marília Mendonça, but at no point did I want to make fun of Marília Mendonça’s death,” he argued.
The comedian also stated that she exchanged messages with Marília and that both followed each other on social media. “I apologize and admit my mistake in raising a topic that is so sensitive to so many people.
