A tragic incident in South Korea resulted in the death of a man due to an accident after a robot Crush it in a pepper factory.
According to reports from the South Korean news agency Yonhap, the approximately 40yearold employee was fatally crushed by an arm robot when carrying out inspections on the machine.
The man, whose identity was not revealed, was checking the sensor on the robot responsible for lifting and reloading boxes of peppers onto pallets.
The test was originally scheduled for November 6, but was postponed for two days due to problems with the robot’s sensor. The information was published by the BBC.

The robotic arm reportedly mistook the worker for one of the boxes, grabbed him and threw the man against the conveyor belt. The man was immediately taken to hospital with injuries to his face and chest, but did not survive.
After the accident, an official at the Dongseong Agricultural Export Complex, which owns the factory in South Gyeongsang province, called for the creation of an “accurate and safe” system in an official statement.
This is not the first incident of this kind South Korea. In March, a 50yearold man suffered serious injuries when he was trapped by a robot while working at an auto parts factory.
