(CNN) – Zac Efron is speaking out after finding out Matthew Perry wanted the “High School Musical” actor to play him in a biopic.
“I felt very honored,” Efron told Extra TV on Wednesday at the premiere of his upcoming film “The Iron Claw” in Dallas.
“It would be extraordinary and of course I’m still very devastated that he’s gone. Yes, we will see what happens,” he added.
Last week, Athenna Crosby, who confirmed she was the woman seen having lunch with Perry at the Bel-Air Hotel the day before her death at age 54, said the “Friends” actress was doing “very well.” go. and that he would “soon” ask Efron to play him in a biopic.
“He said he wanted to make a film about his life, that he had worked with Zac Efron on a film in the past and that he wanted him to play him as a younger version in a promising biopic about his life, and that he was asking would soon,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
