Training Completed Burgenland, 29 Years Old, Offers Fascia Treatment To Horses BVZ.at

Lisa Hedl from “PferdeFaszien Lisa Hedl” recently completed training in the treatment of horse fascia in Germany.

The 29-year-old discovered her love for horses as a child. “I started cycling as a child. My own horse ‘Hugo’ has been with me for eight years. Over the past few years, I have developed a great interest in floor work and muscle building and the potential problems that can arise with this. Through my own experiences with fascia therapy, I began to discover the effects of this form of therapy on horses. The decision to complete the training alone was made quickly,” says Hedl.

After intense research, she decided to take the “Senmotic” training in Wiesbaden (Germany).

Three-dimensional labyrinth on the body

“‘Senmotic Equine’ fascia therapy has developed a successful concept specifically for horses in recent years. Fascia runs throughout the body like a network and is the most common tissue. They surround the bones, stabilize and separate muscles, joints and organs. Incorrect/unilateral movements/lack of movement, overload, injuries, inadequate equipment and emotional stress can cause the fascia to become stuck and hardened”, explains the Frankenau woman.

“Equine Senmotic Therapy” is a manual body therapy that uses the sensitivity of the hands. “Fascia is reversible, which means that adhesions, cross-links, blockages or scar tissue can be released and the horse’s ability to move can be improved. The use of tools is not necessary. Treatments follow a precisely defined strategy. This results from the horse’s anatomy and biomechanics. Based on these aspects, the animal is treated in up to five consecutive sessions”, says Hedl.
