American actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has reportedly been approached by several political parties to join the presidential campaign in the upcoming 2024 US elections.

On Thursday’s episode of Trevor Noah’s podcast, actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confessed that he had been approached by many political parties in 2022, following the release of a political poll in 2021 that showed 46% of American voters would vote for him if he ran for president in the next election.
At the microphone, the fifty-year-old recognized that support for political parties was “a big thing” that “came out of nowhere.”
“I was really overwhelmed and felt really honored. […] It was all very surreal because that was never my goal. My goal was never to go into politics. “In fact, there are many things in politics that I hate,” he said, according to British media.
In 2017, the actor first suggested to Variety that he was “100%” considering running, although he walked back his comments last year, telling “CBS Mornings” that the idea was no longer entertained on the table is that “Being a father [de ses trois filles] is the most important thing for me,” said The Independent.
