In the afternoon of this Friday (10), a small plane loaded with around 420 kg of cocaine base paste entered the runway of the singer Leonardo’s farm, located in the town of Jussara, inland from Goiás. The operation was foiled by military police, resulting in the death of two suspects and the escape of a third.

According to authorities, the incident involved the Federal Police and the Federal Highway Police, who acted quickly after employees at the property noticed suspicious movements and called security forces.

The illegal plane was intercepted when it landed without authorization at the farm of the artist, who was in São Paulo at the time of the incident. The singer’s publicist emphasized that no family member was present at the crime scene.

In addition to seizing the drugs, authorities also seized two firearms, a utility vehicle, two radio transmitters and a satellite communications antenna. On the BR070 between the towns of Jussara and Montes Claros de Goiás, a pickup truck used to pick up illegal cargo was intercepted after a chase with heavy gunfire.

The suspects injured in the altercation were taken to Jussara Municipal Hospital but succumbed to their injuries.
