The Canadiens and the Montreal General Hospital Foundation formed an outstanding team to pay tribute to Doctor David S. Mulder and the 1993 Stanley Cup championship team. The evening raised more than $1.5 million, which will be shared with the General Hospital Foundation, the Serge Savard Fund of the Université de Sherbrooke Foundation and the Anciens Canadiens Centennial Emergency Fund. There was deep silence during Saku Koivu’s video message as he thanked the DR Mulder and the Montreal General Hospital medical group for saving his life. It was an emotional moment in which the former CH captain struggled to hold back his tears.
