The 92yearold communicator has not officially retired and continues to closely monitor the station’s daytoday operations. He counts on his daughter Daniela Beyruti, the current vice president, as his righthand woman in the company.
Silvio also resigned from the show named after him, which is hosted by another of his daughters. Patrícia Abravanel always considered herself an “interim,” as if she was just preparing for her father’s possible return.
The 26th edition of the campaign has the theme “Teleton, Building Futures” and aims to raise R$35 million. The money will be used for AACD to maintain excellent service in its units spread across the cities of São Paulo, Osasco, Porto Alegre, Recife and Uberlândia.
Several broadcasters release their artists to take part in the show, such as Globo. Fátima Bernardes was expected at the SBT studios in the greater São Paulo area, but was replaced by Patrícia Poeta after breaking her leg.

Cintia Abravanel spoke about how her father Silvio Santos left television. The artist added that the presenter tries to portray the aging process in the best possible way:

Who are Silvio Santos’ daughters?
Cinthia and Silvia Abravanel are the result of Silvio’s marriage to Maria Aparecida Vieira, known as Cidinha, who died of cancer in 1977.
