Among the many Argonauts fans and the few Alouettes fans in attendance at Saturday’s Eastern final in Toronto, Tom Alvey and his wife Tracey stood out with an original poster wishing both teams defeated.
“Hey Montreal and Toronto, can you both lose?” they humorously asked those who are primarily loyal to the Tiger-Cats.
The couple live in Hamilton, the city where the Gray Cup final is scheduled to take place next weekend, and not only have season tickets for the Ti-Cats games, but also season tickets for the Argonauts games in Toronto. But both the man and the woman claim to hate the Argos.

“We like all the clubs except the Argos,” Tracey said, laughing.
For next week’s Gray Cup, Tom has already made a special jersey that represents every club in the league except Toronto. In this Eastern finale between the Alouettes and the Argonauts, these two big fans of the Canadian Football League inevitably rallied behind the Montreal club. Tom said he particularly liked linebacker Tyrice Beverette, a former Ti-Cats player.

Among the Montreal fans in attendance it was also possible to meet the family of Alouettes kicker David Côté. His mother Linda Giroux, his sister Rosalie and his father Daniel were obviously hoping for a victory for the Montreal team and a good performance by their favorite player.
