247 In a blunt final statement, the ArabIslamic Forum strongly condemned the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and rejected the war crimes and barbaric massacres committed in the region. The condemnation also extends to “inhumane crimes” committed by the colonial occupying government.

“We condemn the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, the war crimes and the barbaric massacres. We condemn the inhumane crimes and massacres of the colonial occupying government. We refuse to call this war of retaliation selfdefense or to justify it under any pretext,” wrote TV 247 journalist and international correspondent Nathalia Urban on her X account (formerly Twitter).

The statement from the Saudiled forum reflects solidarity with the victims in Gaza, where the escalation of violence has reached alarming proportions in recent weeks. The document denounces the brutality of the Israeli attacks and emphasizes the urgent need to find a peaceful solution to the crisis.

CONTINUED AFTER RECOMMENDATIONS

But despite the strong condemnation, the forum has opted for a moderate reaction for the time being. The only measure adopted so far is the suspension of exports of arms and ammunition to Israel. Although this action is symbolic, it marks a clear stance against the continuation of the vicious circle of violence in the region.

The forum, made up of representatives of Arab and Islamic nations, did not present any more serious threats or specific sanctions during the meeting. There is speculation that more indepth talks will take place in the coming days as leaders seek a common and effective response to the crisis in Gaza.
