The popular Cuban presenter Gretchen Galindo, who lived in Miami, died this Saturday.
The information was published by her daughter, journalist Yossie Galindo, on her profile on the social network Facebook, where she wrote some emotional farewell words for her mother.
“May the pain of your absence and farewell never overshadow the joy of such a beautiful life in which you gave as much love to everyone as you knew how to do. You don’t know what I would have given to have you here with me for a few more years, because I know how much you loved life. Rest in peace,” were part of his daughter’s words.
Also in other publications of the above-mentioned social network, words of condolences and sadness were written about this sad human loss of Cuban talent.
“Today a great woman leaves us, Gretchen Galindo, one of the most incomparable announcers on Cuban television. I remember talking to you more than 30 years ago. I heard her incomparably strong and sharp voice and she said, “The newscast has started,” and it hit me. “The opportunity to meet her and her daughter Yossie Galindo at an event here in the United States,” wrote Cuban Jorge Oscar Valdes.
Miami-based Cuban presenter Gretchen Galindo began her career on radio and television on the island in 1969, where she gained wide popularity.
He had known that his daughter was battling breast cancer for about six years.
On this occasion, he expressed that after the operation, the doctors assured his mother that this disease would never come into her life.
In the publication published by her daughter on Saturday, she does not name the causes of death of the popular Cuban presenter, but thanks the people who have taken care of Gretchen Galindo’s health in recent days.
