What movies and TV programs are on tonight, Sunday, November 12th? Let’s take a look together at the digital terrestrial programming of the main Rai and Mediaset networks. From the first episode Lea – A New Day to the Terra Amara fiction. But above all the films, and what films!
This weekend is also over and before we start the week again, we deserve some relaxation in front of the TV. But what does digital terrestrial transmission offer? Let’s find out with our guide On TV tonight.
Let’s start with Rai 1, which features the second season of Lea – Our children. Anna Valle plays Lea, a specialized nurse who works in pediatrics at Ferrara Hospital. The story begins three years after the end of the first season, when Lea continues her story with the musician Arturo and almost becomes mother to little Martina. While Marco struggles with his separation from Anna and the arduous task of managing joint custody of his daughter Gioia.
Canale 5 also offers fiction, i.e. the Turkish series that delights many viewers, Bitter earth. For today’s episode, Demir, Zuleyha and Fikret are informed by Lutfiye about the truth about the relationship between their sister Safiye and Adnan Yaman senior. The lady shows them the correspondence, which proves that the woman is madly in love with the man and was not raped. Fikret comes to the conclusion that it would be best to leave Turkey and return to Germany.
Finally on Nove we find a new episode of Fabio Fazio’s show, What’s the weather like. As always, there were many guests there that evening. From the founder of M5S, Beppe Grillo to the singer-songwriter Francesco Guccini, just released with his new recording project “Canzoni da tavern”. Finally space for the singer Elodiecurrently on tour with his Elodie show in 2023.
Tonight on TV: Films from the digital terrestrial program
Obviously it’s not a TV night without a lot of films on the program. And for today there are two truly incredible films for fantasy lovers. Let’s start with Italia 1, which offers the third episode of the saga written by JK Rowling. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Not everyone knows that the director of this film, Alfonso Cuaròn, asked the protagonists Daniel, Rupert and Emma to write an essay about their respective characters. The results definitely matched: Emma delivered 16 pages, Daniel 1 page and Rupert nothing, justifying himself by saying that “my character would have done exactly that”.
It continues on TV8 with the milestone of a saga that still has fans all over the world today, war of stars. George Lucas wasn’t entirely convinced by the film at the time and limited himself to giving the actors only two clues: “faster” and “more intense”. Another lack of confidence in the product existed at the time of its premiere when he preferred to travel to Hawaii with his friend Steven Spielberg. In fact, the film won six Oscar statuettes (Best Production Design, Editing, Sound, Soundtrack, Costumes and Special Effects) as well as a Special Oscar for Ben Burtt for the robotic creatures and voices. Lucas paid the price for the lack of confidence in the project and was replaced as director for the second and third chapters Irvin Kershner and Richard Marquand – although he was the screenwriter of the latter.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban at 9:14 p.m. on Italia 1
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) prepares to end his third summer with his Uncle Dursley and begin a new year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But even at school the atmosphere is not the best: in fact, it seems that a dangerous wizard, follower of Voldemort, Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) has escaped from the maximum security wizarding prison, Azkaban. To protect Harry and the students, the headmaster Albus silence (Michael Gambon) monitors the castle, which is immediately surrounded by Dementors: creatures that guard Azkaban and feed on people’s happy memories. But Sirius is no stranger to Harry’s family and will soon find out the truth behind his escape.
Star Wars at 9.30 p.m. on TV8
The galaxy is in the middle of a civil war: On the one hand, the Emperor has expanded his power, also thanks to the help of his student Lord Darth Vader (David Prowse) ready to fight the last resistance. On the other hand, the followers of the Rebel Alliance have stolen the plans of the Death Star, Lord Vader’s future space base, which are in the hands of the Imperial Senator Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher). The Princess’s spaceship is stopped by an Imperial destroyer and before she is captured, she hides the plans in the droid’s memory C1-P8 (Kenny Baker), along with the protocol robot D-3BO, escapes to the desert planet Tatooine. Here they are bought by a farming couple and their nephew Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who will discover Leila’s message for help Obi Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness). Luke will search for the man and confront his past…
