The “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer revealed on Instagram on Saturday that she met the “Blank Space” singer backstage at one of her concerts in 2003.
Britney was already a global star at the time, but she was amazed at the singing skills of the then 14-year-old Taylor.
In a post on the image-sharing site, Britney wrote:
“It’s been a long time, but it’s kind of cool… There was a knock on my door during my Oops tour. “My good friend was my coach’s assistant at the time who was trying to become a coach.”
The post continued:
“Someone knocked on the door and then said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.’ I thought, “Of course!!!”
Britney, 41, continued:
“He comes in and she’s singing a beautiful song with her guitar.” I thought, wow, she’s amazing!!! We took a photo and then she became the most famous pop woman of our generation. It’s great that he plays stadiums and I prefer his videos to films any time. Is great!!! Girl in love’.
