Whether sun or snow: Here you can find the weather forecast for your region at the start of the week

The week will start with sunshine in central Quebec, while certain areas in the east and west of the province can expect a cloudier day punctuated by snow showers.

Monday promises to be “generally sunny” in the Capital Region as well as the Drummondville, Mauricie and Charlevoix areas, where temperatures are expected to be very close to freezing, according to Environment Canada forecasts.

In Estrie, Beauce, La Tuque and Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean, a change between sun and clouds is on the agenda at the beginning of the week, while snow showers may occur overnight in certain regions between Monday and Tuesday.

In most of western Quebec, the federal agency expects a 30% to 40% chance of snow showers beginning in the afternoon, particularly in metropolitan Montreal, Lanaudière, Laurentians and Mont-Tremblant Park areas.

The same applies to the east of the province, where snow showers with alternating sun and clouds are expected in several sectors.

Accumulation on the ground of a few centimeters is also expected in the game reserves of La Vérendrye, Pontiac, Témiscamingue and Abitibi.

In general, northern Quebec will be cloudy, with some chance of snow showers in certain regions, except for James Bay, where there could be intermittent rain starting in the afternoon.
