Eleven criminals took part in an operation with an airplane on Leonardo’s farm

The PRF believes the entire crime was improvised and that the aircraft most likely made an emergency landing to avoid a crash caused by fuel starvation.

While there, the criminals began transporting the drugs from inside the plane into one of the Hilux trucks. A Fiat Uno model car contained gallons of fuel that was used to fuel the plane. After the action, the three vehicles and the aircraft fled.

The military police and the PRF activated intelligence and were able to predict where the Hilux would be. From there they located the truck on the BR070, between the towns of Jussara and Montes Claros de Goiás.

According to the Prime Minister, the occupants responded with gunfire as they approached the vehicle. The military returned fire and shot dead two suspects, a man and a woman. The couple who were shot were rescued and taken to Jussara Municipal Hospital but did not survive their injuries. Her identity has not been revealed. However, it is estimated that both are on average 30 years old. The two had previous convictions for drug trafficking and murder.

So far there is no information about the whereabouts of the aircraft and the Fiat Uno.

Drugs confiscated

The drugs found in the Hilux truck were confiscated. In total, the Prime Minister found 420 kg of cocaine base paste. The drugs were sent to the Federal Police headquarters in Goiânia.

Police also seized two firearms, the Hilux pickup truck, two radios and a satellite communications antenna.

The second truck was found abandoned in Montes Claros de Goiás. There were no quantities of drugs in the vehicle.

Far away from the farm

Country singer Leonardo and his wife Poliana were in São Paulo at the time of the incident and therefore did not witness the crime. The Talismã farm is worth R$60 million.
