The Chandler-Bing interpreter was buried November 3 at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills. The ceremony took place in strict privacy in the presence of Matthew Perry’s family and closest friends, including Friends actors Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston.

Hank Azaria, who confided that Matthew Perry was “the first friend” he made when he arrived in Los Angeles, was present at the funeral of the man who also helped him get out of addiction.

“I went to the funeral last weekend. You know, it’s sad. “He was a hilarious man, so we alternated between laughing and crying while remembering him,” Hank Azaria told Messenger.

“The whole world lost him. In a way, it’s nice to see the world share this pain,” he added.

Matthew Perry died on October 28 after his body was found in his hot tub. He was 54 years old.
