On Monday morning, November 13th, the Peruvian football woke up in mourning over the death of former soccer player Henry Colán, who was shot in Barrios Altos, according to police. Although the former Sport Boys player was taken alive to Dos de Mayo National Hospital, he died hours later due to the severity of his injuries.
After confirming his death, the clubs Sport Boys, Universidad César Vallejo, Sporting Cristal and the Peruvian Football Federation expressed their condolences to the family and friends of the 41-year-old former player. Likewise, his former teammates such as Carlos Lobatón and other figures linked to football regretted his departure.

Who was Henry Colán?
Henry Colán was a former footballer who played in the midfield position. His football career began in 2002 in the Peru Cup, where he defended the colorsAlfonso Ugarte. However, he made his debut in the first division in 2004 with the Sport Boys.
In 2006, he made the big leap by signing with Sporting Cristal. However, he only stayed for one season and then returned to La Misilera.
