A 50 kg Rottweiler falls from the 3rd floor of a building: a pregnant woman, victim of head trauma, is hospitalized

The Gist A 50kg dog fell from the third floor of a building in Rome, Italy. When it fell, the animal almost hit a young pregnant woman aged 27. As she tried to avoid the impact, she hit her head and suffered head trauma.

It was a scene that caused surprise in the old town of Rome (Italy). The events occurred at the end of October last year: according to our colleagues at La Republicca, a Rottweiler weighing almost 50 kg fell from the third floor of a building in the historic center of the Italian capital. The reasons for this fall remain mysterious: according to the owner, the animal “could have seen a bird through the window or thought that someone was calling it.”

When it fell, the animal almost hit a young pregnant woman aged 27. As she was surprised to see the animal fall on top of her, she took a step to the side before hitting her head. The young woman had to be hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury and a fracture behind her ear. According to the latest information shared, she is now healthy and happy, just like her child.

This is not the case with dogs. The eleven-month-old dog died just an hour after the accident. According to our colleagues, the dog’s owners could be prosecuted for “endangering the lives of others.” The latter, for their part, claim to be victims of “threats”.
