Ben Foden recently announced that he is expecting a baby with his wife Jackie as they shared the happy news with their fans on Instagram.
The former rugby pro, 38, posted a video of his wife’s ultrasound as well as an announcement the couple made to Ok! had filmed. Magazine.
However, one thing fans noticed after watching the clips posted to Ben’s social media: his changing accent.
Ben moved to the United States ahead of the 2019 Major League Rugby season, where he signed with Rugby United New York after leaving Northampton in the United Kingdom.
During his time in the USA, Ben, who was previously married to Una Healy, with whom he has two children, met his current wife Jackie.

After spending four years across the pond, fans noticed that Ben’s voice now clearly has a transatlantic flavor.
Underneath a video of Ben and Jackie, one person wrote: “What’s with the transatlantic accent?”
While watching another video of her ultrasound, another said: “Ben has an American accent now.”
Another clearly agreed as he left a laughing face emoji under the comment.
Ben and Jackie announced their pregnancy last month after suffering three miscarriages.
After sharing the news, they shared a clip on Instagram of Jackie doing an ultrasound and introducing the baby to his older siblings.
Ben and Jackie are already parents to three-year-old daughter Farrah, while Ben also shares children Aoife Belle, 11, and Tadhg, eight, with his ex-wife Una.
The three children were excited when they saw their new brother or sister for the first time and heard his heartbeat.

Farrah pointed at the screen and said, “It has a nose,” to which Ben giggled and corrected, “That’s the baby’s tummy, not his nose.”
Aoife excitedly declared: “Oh, I can see it!” while Farrah proudly said to Jackie: “Mama, Mama, you did that!”
Captioning the sweet video, Jackie wrote: “30 weeks later! There’s about 8 more to go!”
This came after the couple spoke about how their tragic miscarriages had caused them to “lose hope” of having another child.
Jackie said OK! Magazine: “I was constantly happy about the pregnancies, but nothing stuck.” After the third, we kept thinking: “We’ll see if it happens – if it happens, then it happens, and if not, then it happens “It’s hard not to get your hopes up when you really want another baby.”
She revealed that after the tragic losses, her mother urged her to check her progesterone levels and doctors confirmed that the hormone, which plays an important role in the reproductive system, had dropped. Jackie was then given nutritional supplements.
But she explained that the values were still not correct “because I have what is called marginal umbilical cord insertion, which means that the umbilical cord is implanted in the wrong place and the risk of pregnancy increases.” So we need to pay special attention in the future that the baby is growing at the right rate.”
The couple lives in New York City with their daughter and Jackie is currently in her third trimester of pregnancy.

Last September she spoke about her heartbreaking miscarriage on the Popular On DM podcast, saying: “We were pregnant last month and lost it a few days ago on Monday. “It was a bummer.
“It was super weird being pregnant and then waking up the next day and not being pregnant.” “Your breasts immediately feel different, you stop peeing all the time.”
Jackie shared how many of her friends had trouble getting pregnant, and she’s glad she and Ben got pregnant with Farrah the first time around.
She said: “We got pregnant the first time, Farrah was our first.” A lot of my friends have trouble getting pregnant. I talk to them and they feel hopeless.
“I’m 37, I fully expected this to happen. “Realistically, I’ll be pregnant again next month.”
Jackie added that she thinks it’s important for women to talk about their miscarriages because it’s “so normal.”
She said: “Some people thought I had a miscarriage too.” I thought, let’s talk about it! It’s so normal. My mother told me, “Your body knows what to do in this scenario.”
