After storing leftovers in reusable containers, a dirty orange stain will forever be left on the plastic – no matter how hard you scrub.
The grease stains can make your kitchen utensils look dirty even when they aren’t – and sometimes even running the dishwasher on the highest setting can’t save them.
But now a British woman has revealed her clever cleaning hack with which she can prevent annoying grease stains on plastic tubs with minimal effort.
The video by Ayni, who goes by @ayni_home on TikTok, was seen by more than 1.2 million people.
She showed a hack alongside the audio clip: “Show me the life hack that you happened to see one day that is now an unconscious standard practice in your life.”

In the TikTok, she showed viewers a reusable container she had just eaten out of that was covered in grease.
Anyi placed a sheet of paper towels in the tub, added four squirts of dish soap, and then filled it with warm water.
Then she attached the lid and shook it vigorously to foam the soapy water inside.
Then she emptied the mixture and rinsed out the remaining foam with water.
She told viewers: “A quick wash and rinse and you’re done – no orange stains!”
Ayni ended the video by showing off the sparkling clean tub.
However, the TikToker clarified that this is best for preventing stains, not removing pre-existing stains.

However, some viewers argued that plastic cups should be a thing of the past, writing: “I don’t understand why people still use plastic Tupperware for hot food.” Microwaves, which are not healthy in the long term. Glass containers should be used.
