Police said they first responded to the scene around 7:16 a.m. after receiving a report of an incident at 122-39 Milburn St. It remains unclear whether they received a tip from the suspect, who had shown up at the station a mile away just minutes earlier.

When they entered the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home, they discovered the three victims, who were reportedly initially alive but succumbed to their wounds.

It is currently unclear whether they all lived at the apartment and no charges have been filed against the suspect.

An update released barely an hour after the bodies were discovered revealed that the suspect was taken into custody after showing up at the nearby police building. He then confessed and claimed that he had lived with the victims.

He now faces charges that are still pending, but his name was not yet known (as of 9:20 a.m.). Police confirmed he is currently being questioned by law enforcement.
