Ricki-Lee Coulter opened up to fans about her difficult year.
The singer, who turned 38 last week, took to Instagram earlier this week to thank her followers for their support while looking back on her music career that has spanned two decades.
Ricki-Lee explained that her whirlwind year was both challenging and rewarding as she struggled to “juggle it all.”
“I feel so loved! This year was the most difficult year of the last 20 years of my career. “It certainly wasn’t easy trying to juggle everything and juggle EVERYTHING,” she began.
“When you release music through your own label, the responsibility is yours… there is no one making the decisions for you.”

“Like anyone who runs their own business, you are THE decision maker, the planner, the organizer, the one who has to think about each scenario and make informed decisions about what is best and then the one who has to do it.” Get all of those things in order and make sure all the boxes are checked and everything gets done.”
“But I’m also the artist – I work on the creative side, do the music, write the songs and do the production perfectly and make sure the artwork, the images and the music videos look amazing and epic!” She continued.
The star also pointed out her busy schedule, mentioning her roles as host of Australian Idol and her Nova radio show, which she co-hosts with Joel Creasey and Tim Blackwell from 4pm to 6pm.

“Having fun with my friends, seeing my family and unwinding was a challenge in itself,” she added.
Ricki-Lee continued, “I’ve had a lot going on, but I know every day how lucky I am to be able to do what I do… and I honestly wouldn’t change it for the world!”
The hitmaker ended her post by thanking her fans following the release of her latest single, “Ghost.”
“So when I hear and see how much you love the music… and see Ghost at number 1 and see you streaming it and posting about it, and seeing the incredible response to the album and the enthusiasm for it… go for it that ‘worth it all!’ She said.
Ricki-Lee rose to fame after making it to the top 10 on Australian Idol in 2004.
She placed seventh and the talented artist has remained a fixture in the music industry ever since.
This year she co-hosted Channel Seven’s new edition with Scott Tweedie.
Ricki-Lee recently revealed why it’s so special to return to Australian Idol, 19 years after the show made her famous.
“This show made all of my childhood dreams come true,” Ricki-Lee told 7News.
“When I was a little girl, all I wanted to do was be on stage and perform for people and make music that made people feel something.”
Ricki-Lee also hosted last year’s season of Australia’s Got Talent on Seven and was there to comfort contestants backstage.
