Barry Williams has stood out from the crowd.
The man best known as Greg Brady on the popular 1970s sitcom is now officially the Brady Bunch cast member to advance furthest on Dancing With the Stars. With his Week 8 rumba to Whitney Houston’s “Didn’t We Almost Have it All?”, Williams surpassed his TV sister Maureen McCormick, who made it to Week 7 in Season 23 (Brady matriarch Florence Henderson left in Week 5 of Season 11). . relay home). ). Unfortunately, Williams won’t make it that far in season 32, as he was shockingly eliminated at the end of the episode.
Williams previously told EW that while his goal is to win Season 32 of the dance competition, he at least wants to beat McCormick. “I have to do this,” he joked, referencing a famous Brady episode. “I lost the egg in the bowling competition and she never let me down.”

“This experience is what life is always like with the Bradys, and it’s like family,” the actor added. “We do this for our sisters, our brothers, for our family – and it’s very gratifying.”
Williams danced with his partner Peta Murgatroyd and struggled to improve each week. On Whitney Houston’s night, the duo received plenty of praise for their progress. Carrie Ann Inaba called it her “best dance yet,” while Bruno Tonioli called it “perfect,” emphasizing the importance of performing a dance without mistakes. Guest judge Billy Porter even urged Williams to do more in the future, saying, “It’s too easy for you.”

The couple received consistent eights from all judges, giving them a score of 32 out of 40. This was the highest total score from four judges behind the table. They then won their dance-off against Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach and picked up three bonus points, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to save them for another week.
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Tuesdays at 8:00 PM ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
