“No use of civilian infrastructure for military purposes is acceptable,” reiterates the Quai d’Orsay, while Israel accuses Hamas of using the hospital as a strategic base.
Paris “recalls the absolute necessity for Israel to comply with international humanitarian law, which provides in particular for the protection of hospital infrastructure and prescribes clear principles of distinction, necessity, proportionality and caution at all times and in all places,” it said in a statement Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
