The Israeli army found weapons at Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, according to a military spokesman. Operations at the clinic are still ongoing, Hagari said Wednesday night. A room with special technology and combat equipment used by the Islamic Hams was found in a department of the clinic, he said. A Hamas operations center was discovered in another department. The findings “clearly prove that Shifa was used for military purposes, in complete contradiction to international law,” Hagari said. The operation will continue as long as necessary.
200 Hamas terrorists were accommodated there
“Shifa is a symbol, none of the Hamas leaders could have imagined that we would get there,” Hagari said. After the October 7 massacre, 200 Hamas terrorists involved in the atrocities were housed there.

Army spokesman Jonathan Conricus showed in a video a bag containing an assault rifle, ammunition, hand grenades and a uniform hidden behind an MRI machine. Other weapons were found in another closet, he explained. One piece of equipment was labeled with the name of Hamas’ armed wing, the Qassam Brigades. Numerous intelligence-relevant information was also found. All findings are being scrutinized thoroughly.

Hamas: “Obvious lie and hoax”
The army’s information initially could not be independently verified. Hamas denied the reports as a “blatant lie and hoax.”
Israeli ground troops entered the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday night. There were reports of hours of fighting at the clinic. The Israeli military also hoped to find at least information at the clinic complex about the whereabouts of hostages kidnapped from Israel in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack. However, initially there was no information about this.
