Death of Karl Tremblay: Vigils in the Plains, Montreal and L’Assomption on Thursday evening

An admirer of the Cowboys Fringants wants to honor the memory of Karl Tremblay by organizing a gathering Thursday evening at 7 p.m. on the Plains of Abraham, where the group performed an anthology concert to 90,000 people last July. Vigils are also planned at Jeanne-Mance Park in Montreal and L’Assomption.

“We were all destabilized by the pain we felt. I didn’t expect it to affect me so deeply,” says Nancie Giroux, who came up with the idea of inviting the group’s enthusiasts to the Plains after seeing the announcement of a Great Vigil in Montreal.

“Dear friends,” write the organizers, “in the melodic echo of our lives a voice has fallen silent, but its song will forever linger in our hearts.” Let us come together this Thursday evening to remember a modern poet, a storyteller of our lives, Karl Tremblay, to honor the soul of an entire generation and a people. »

“We invite you to bring your musical instruments, your joy of life and your desire to celebrate one of our greats in a festive and friendly atmosphere that only the Cowboys could always invite us to.” »
