Luc Dugal was accused of accessing child pornography and dismissed

Luc Dugal was accused of accessing child pornography and dismissed from his post at the club Dalbix – La Tribune

“This investigation is based on reports received by the National Coordination Center against the Sexual Exploitation of Children, alleging that a user uploaded files containing child pornography,” the national police confirmed in a press release on Wednesday morning.

The spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec in Estrie, Louis-Philippe Ruel, mentions that the crime was not related to the employment of the 51-year-old defendant. “We’re talking about a few hundred files here,” he describes.

“A search was conducted at his home in Sherbrooke and multiple files containing child pornography were located,” the organization said in its news release. The man appeared at the Sherbrooke Courthouse on one count of accessing child pornography. He was released on conditions.”

Dugal is representing himself alone for the time being. He will be back in court on November 24th, confirmed criminal and law enforcement prosecutor Me Laïla Belgharras.

Additional charges could be filed against Dugal as computer equipment was seized and is currently being analyzed.
