The Peruvian team faces a new challenge today (3:00 p.m.). Bolivia at Hernando Siles Stadium on day five of the playoffs.
La Blanquirroja comes to this important game at a difficult time, having placed itself in the penultimate position of the table with 1 point and a record of 1 draw and 3 defeats.
All teams failed to score points in the current qualifying round and will therefore look to end this goal drought, if possible with a historic win.

During qualification, the Peruvian team played nine games against Bolivia in La Paz, of which the national team drew three and lost six.
“We made the same mistake with Chile. We talk more about history than about the present. It will be a very tough game. Even more so with the change of coach. We are not favorites at all. I’ve never experienced anything like that, not even as a player,” Juan Reynoso said at a press conference.
On the other hand, Bolivia is not having a good time either, as it is at the bottom of the table with the same result as that Red and white, but with a lower goal difference. This duel marks the debut of Antonio Carlos Zago as technical director of the green team following the departure of Gustavo Costas.

“It is important to give a different motivation than what we have seen in the last few games. When we play here at home we have to get the most wins. “It was a bad start, but we have time to get out of this delicate situation and we hope to see Siles in full,” said the Highland team strategist.
The last time Peru and Bolivia met in La Paz was on October 10, 2021, where the green team won by the smallest difference and a goal from Ramiro Vaca.
