Communications with Gaza were “completely disrupted” due to fuel shortages.

The head of the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said during a press conference in Geneva on Thursday that communications with the Gaza Strip had again been “completely disrupted.”

“Gaza is once again suffering from a total communications blackout and (…) this is because there is no fuel,” Philippe Lazzarini told the press shortly after verbally informing United Nations member countries of the situation in Gaza.

Lazzarini added that the operations he led in the Gaza Strip were the subject of a “deliberate attempt at strangulation.”

“I believe this is a deliberate attempt to stifle our operation and cripple UNRWA’s.”

Israeli “violent attack” on Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza criticized

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported a “violent attack” by Israeli tanks that “besieged” the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, while the Israeli army has been increasing its grip on the city and especially its hospitals for several days.

“The rescue teams are unable to move and therefore unable to reach the injured,” adds the Red Crescent, which manages this hospital.

The Hamas Ministry of Health claimed that the Israeli army had attacked several wards of Al-Chifa Hospital, also in Gaza City, with the Israeli army confirming that it had searched “every floor, one building at a time.”
