The pressure for the “ceasefire desired by Hamas

Riots by parliamentarians, street vandalism and harassment of proIsrael authorities highlighted forms of pressure for a “ceasefire” in the Gaza Strip in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.

In the British Parliament, eight Labor Party members resigned from their positions in defense of the measure.

The MPs compared the line defined by in a vote in the lower house Keir Starmer, the opposition leader who only advocates “humanitarian breaks”. Like ministers, they had been told they would not be able to remain on the party’s direct team if they voted for a motion calling for a “ceasefire”.

Starmer supports the Conservative government’s proposal to defend “humanitarian pauses” without denying Israel’s right to selfdefense. He regretted that some colleagues “could not support the official position.”

The Scottish National Party’s motion for a ceasefire was defeated by 293 votes to 125, as there is a Conservative majority in the House of Commons.

England has recorded numerous incidents related to proPalestinian protests. After a First World War memorial was destroyed because London police lost control of a crowd, the Home Secretary gave the police new powers to protect monuments.

There were also protests in Canada. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was mobbed by protesters and had to be escorted by police from the restaurant where he was dining in Vancouver.

On Tuesday the 14th, a hundred police officers were deployed to break up the proGaza demonstration in front of the restaurant. “Vancouver police helped control and disperse the crowd while the prime minister was escorted from the restaurant,” officials said.

In the United States, there were also clashes between Capitol Police and proPalestinian protesters on the night of Wednesday the 15th. The confusion occurred in front of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters. The demonstrators said they were there to call on the Democratic Party leadership to support the “ceasefire” in Gaza.

Capitol Police said about 150 people “illegally and violently protested.” “One person has been arrested for assaulting a police officer,” the company said on social media.

In several countries, all of these activists claim to be defenders of Palestinian civilians who are in reality oppressed by the Hamas government, which uses them as human shields to attack Jews and not be attacked. Israel has demonstrated the efforts of its defense forces to evacuate innocent residents of the Gaza Strip as it advances into the north of the territory.

Now that the terrorist group has lost control of the region and is surrounded by Israeli troops, it is counting on international pressure for a “ceasefire” to buy time, recover and, of course, attack again.
