‘I’m young, I’m blonde, I’m short’: MP says she was grabbed by the collar by a mayor

Kariane Bourassa is clear: respect in politics should be the norm. However, the young MP has already had several bad experiences with certain elected officials in her constituency.

Possibly the worst: A mayor grabbed the 32-year-old woman by the collar.

The day after the physical altercation, the mayor in question apologized for his unacceptable behavior.

Ms. Bourassa accepted his apology and did not file a complaint.

She even refuses to say his name so as not to add fuel to the fire. But despite everything, she has a very clear explanation.

“I am young, I am blonde, I am short,” she explained to Antoine Robitaille on QUB radio.
