EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Former I’m A Celeb contestant Lady Colin Campbell is given a luxury apartment in Morocco by a mystery man

Lady Colin Campbell was criticized for her overbearing behavior and vitriolic insults while appearing on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! – yet is the recipient of an “extremely generous” gift.

I’ve heard that the royal biographer, 74, is the new owner of a penthouse apartment in the Moroccan city of Tangier.

The former Georgie Ziadie – who received her title thanks to a year-long marriage to the Duke of Argyll’s younger son, Lord Colin Campbell, in 1974 – says the apartment was a gift from a godfather of her adopted sons Michael and Dimitri.

“My son’s godfather gave me the rental agreement for his apartment in Tangier,” Lady Colin tells me.

“The original idea was that my sons would get it. But then, for logistical reasons, it was decided that it would be easier to hand it to me. It was extremely generous of him.’

The author, who refuses to name the godfather, has not yet visited the apartment. “You can’t look a gift horse in the mouth, but I’m not sure I have the time to go,” she says. “I’ll let my friends use the property instead.”

“It is close to the harbor and has wonderful sea views.”It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and three roof terraces.’

Lady Colin already owns Castle Goring, a sprawling 18th-century estate in West Sussex.

She bought it in 2013 for more than £700,000 and has since spent millions on renovations. She skips it for corporate events and weddings.

Olivia helps Bea get into the fashion industry’s A-list

Princess Beatrice has been cruelly mocked for some of her style choices, but since teaming up with society stylist Olivia Buckingham, she has become one of the best-dressed royals.

The 35-year-old niece of King Charles and the 40-year-old fashionista, who has also styled actress Poppy Delevingne and Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern, have now been pictured together for the first time.

They were at a dinner to celebrate the opening of fashion designer Monique Lhuillier’s flagship store in Mayfair, hosted by Game Of Thrones actress Jazzy de Lisser.

Bea wore a gold sequin dress while Olivia chose a crop top and maxi skirt.

Poldark Eleanor’s cool outfit

I really hope Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson didn’t catch a cold as she left the Royal Opera House in this chic outfit as the temperature dropped to around 5°C.

The actress, who initially had to wear drab dresses as Demelza in the hit BBC TV drama series, wore a black sheer cutout dress designed by Nensi Dojaka and featuring mesh collar details.

Tomlinson, 31, married rugby star Will Owen last summer. He was her first serious boyfriend after she split from Poldark co-star Harry Richardson.

Next week’s by-election for a Conservative hereditary peer sounds intriguing. Candidates include Lord Annaly, who wants to highlight his experience as a “logistics driver with pay close to minimum wage”.

Given that the House of Lords sitting allowance is £342 a day, this would make a big difference to him.

Lord Ashbourne, meanwhile, says he wants to be “part of the solution that finally reverses 80 years of Britain’s relative decline”.

Perhaps the most fascinating of these is Lord Hazlerigg, who founded the Noisily Festival of Music and Arts. The website states: “Guided by our environment and supported by nature, we celebrate the individual and promote understanding in the collective. “But make no mistake, this is a real bloody party.”

Is the House of Lords ready for Hazlerigg?

Simon Gaul, who owned the travel bookshop featured in the film Notting Hill, claims he worked for Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

“His agent wanted a library for his new 370-foot yacht,” Gaul tells me at the release of his book “White Suicide.”

“In rich Russian tones, our brief was simple: ‘I have 28 linear meters of bookshelf.’ Fill them.’ That’s what we did, late at night in a cold shipyard in Southampton.’

For Pete Doherty, the once disheveled, drug-addicted boyfriend of model Kate Moss, it’s paying off to turn over a new leaf.

Now sober and drug-free, the 44-year-old rock singer has earned an impressive £1.3 million in income from two of the six companies he uses to manage his finances, new figures filed with Companies House show.

Designer defends royals’ style

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ nasty criticism from Queen Camilla’s old friend Nicky Haslam will make them more popular, claims extravagant interior design expert Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

Haslam told me that Prince William and Catherine “couldn’t be less sophisticated” and described their clothing style as “ordinary.”

But Changing Rooms star Llewelyn-Bowen, who designed floors at Buckingham Palace, says: “The Prince and Princess of Wales have such a connection with absolutely everyone in the country that the fact that he has condemned them increases their popularity becomes.”

Speaking to me at the Shooting Star Ball in London, he added: “I don’t think the world is more like Nicky Haslam’s world.”
