Big Brother: Matty is evicted in a brutal letter from home twist, leaving Henry, Noky, Jordan, Yinrun and Olivia in the final, where one of them will win a whopping £100,000

Matty was evicted from the Big Brother house in Thursday night’s dramatic episode, leaving the remaining five in the finale.

The 24-year-old doctor was sent away just before the last day in the house as Henry, Noky, Jordan, Yinrun and Olivia made it to the end.

At the end of his letter from home, he was told that he would be leaving in a brutal twist that Yinrun read out, leaving the others in shock.

In Friday night’s final, one of the final five will win a whopping £100,000 in the highly anticipated live show.

Voting for Friday night’s live final is now open again on the Big Brother app, with viewers asked to vote for which housemate should win Big Brother.

Voting will close during tomorrow’s show.

Viewers will watch as hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best crown the winner of Big Brother 2023 and speak to all five finalists in their first live interview since leaving the Big Brother house.

Elsewhere, things got emotional in the Big Brother house in Thursday’s penultimate episode.

All housemates received letters from home with encouraging words from family and friends – so not a single eye in the house remained dry.

The housemates gathered in the lounge when Big Brother said, “Roommates.” Before the gates of heaven close for the day, I wanted to give you all the ultimate heavenly gift – your letters from home.”

Reading Noky’s letter to her from her sister, Olivia said, “To my best friend, I have looked up to you in every way since I was born – we were meant to be sisters.”

Later, Jordan read Henry’s letter to him and said, “You were positive, funny and authentic the whole time in the house, and people love you for you.”

Then Henry read Jordan’s letter to him and said, “My whole office is watching your every move and they know all about your behavior in the bushes!”

“Everyone loves your sense of humor and thinks you’re a gentleman.” “I adore Henry – a lifelong friend and potential son-in-law.”

Noky sparked more tears as she read Olivia’s letter from her parents to her, saying: “Our dear, beautiful girl Olivia.”

“We are the proudest mums and dads ever. ‘Grandma, Po and James are all so proud, but we’re warning you now, Grandma wants a word about your swearing!’

Next, Matty read an emotional letter from Yinrun to her, saying, “Your parents and grandmother miss you very much.”

“The entire process of entering the UK was carried out by yourself. “I saw my girl at her best – adventurous, independent and brave.”

And finally, Yinrun read Matty’s letter to him and said, “Dear Matty. It was great to see how the friendships with the roommates developed.

“Your humor, kindness and sensitivity have always been at the heart of everything you did.”

This comes after Big Brother fans were left confused about the “missing eviction” in Wednesday’s episode.

It was announced on Tuesday that another of the remaining housemates: Henry, Jordan, Noky, Olivia, Matty and Yinrun would be leaving just 48 hours before the finale.

But the eviction did not air as expected and explained by anchor AJ Odudu the previous evening.

Voting began during Big Brother: Late and Live and ended at 6pm on Wednesday before the evening show.

Fans reacted to the lack of eviction on Twitter, writing: “I’m not going to lie, I feel a little changed after this episode… Where was the eviction we were promised last night?!?!”

Another said: “Why did I look forward to an eviction all day and buy special eviction snacks for this wasted hour?!?”

Excitement: The housemates all received their letters from home with encouraging words from their family and friends - there wasn't a dry eye in the house (Yinrun can be seen)

A third wrote: “Where is the eviction?”, while another said: “When is the eviction then?” #BBLL #BBUK.”

On the latest episode of Late and Live, AJ clarified that a star had been kicked out of the house earlier in the day and the identity was revealed during the next highlights show as part of a pre-recorded kidnapping.

However, those who watched the live stream after Late and Live have speculated that Matty is now missing from the house.

Big Brother: Live Final airs Friday night at 9pm on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX.
