“My father, Real Voisine, known as Pit à Maurille, was a man from St-Basile in Madawaska. As a student, he was a truck driver for the Frazer company and then an English teacher for several decades. In summer also manager of the beach and the municipal campsite and of course mayor of the magnificent little municipality of Notre-Dame-du-Lac in the beautiful Témiscouata region for almost 20 years.
An avid fishing fan, an artist in his free time, he was also once a real ice hockey player (he was invited to the Detroit Red Wings camp in the late 1950s). He leaves to mourn his two sisters Rachèle and Rolande, his three children Roch, Marc and Janice, his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Rest in peace dad.
Love you”
