America’s cheating hotspots revealed: Florida residents most likely to engage in adulterous behavior as dating site warns of ‘season of bondage’

  • A study conducted by dating app Ashley Madison revealed the 20 places where marital breakdowns most commonly occur in the United States
  • Three Florida cities made the top five
  • Four of the 20 locations were Midwestern cities

America’s cheating hotspots have been revealed and Florida residents were at the top of the list and found to be the most likely to commit adultery.

As cold weather moves into the US, “cuffing season” has begun, but data from an online dating service suggests otherwise.

Ashley Madison – the online site famously aimed at married people with the slogan “Life is short.” “Have an Affair” – investigated where its members live to “discover hotspots around the world when it comes to adulterous behavior.”

The site’s chief strategy officer, Paul Keable, told Fox News that 20 states were on the list and states in the Midwest, as well as several cities and Florida, had become hotbeds for scammers.

Three of the top five locations were from Florida and four of the 20 total locations were from the Midwest.

“Infidelity is truly pervasive and we see people from across the political spectrum joining our site. We’ve seen research outside of our company that shows more right-leaning people tend to sign up [for] Ashley Madison. “So it shouldn’t be a surprise,” Keable said.

Keable added that couples who are more into the release season are more inclined to spice up their marriage for the cold season.

The study was based on where users live. However, if it mattered where the infidelity occurred, Keable said Las Vegas would be higher than number four on the list.

He shared that he was surprised that three Colorado cities found spots on the list. People from Denver, Colorado Springs and Aurora were proven to see some of the most adulterous behavior.

Keable said he was surprised that only one city from the Golden State was on the list, as he said many may associate the liberal state with scammers.

“People often want to equate the California lifestyle with a lack of morals and ethics. “You know, we see cheating scandals in Hollywood,” he said.

Although California barely showed up, he said adultery has become somewhat normalized in the state.

Keable said, “And so some people in California don’t need the discretion that Ashley Madison offers.”

The chief strategy officer’s role at Ashley Madison is to “talk to people about what’s really happening in the world of infidelity,” not to convince them not to have an affair.

Keable also knows that the dating service has a rather negative connotation, as some describe it as an “immoral company”.

In response, Keable said, “Look, if we stopped working today, not a single affair would be stopped. “If Ashley Madison didn’t exist, adultery would still be as rampant as it is around the world.”

He actually feels like more people would get caught if they didn’t use Ashley Madison’s services.

Ashley Madison is a Canadian online service originally launched in 2002.

In 2015, there was a lot of press attention when the website was hacked and personal information about millions of users was leaked.

The site soon evolved into a “morally questionable business model” aimed at couples “escaping a sexless marriage or seeking a shared relationship that requires sensitivity and privacy.”
