Van Halen: Sammy Hagar invites David Lee Roth to tour with him – MetalZone

Sammy Hagar has invited Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth to join him on his 2024 tour.

The rocker recently announced that he would be going on tour next year and performing a performance focused on Van Halen’s music.

During a recent appearance on Howard Stern’s show, he said of his upcoming series of Van Halen tribute concerts: “It’s time. Nobody else will do it. If [le chanteur original de Van Halen] Dave [Lee Roth] decides to do it, he won’t be able to sing my songs. [Mais] We can do some songs from early Van Halen. I don’t have a problem with that, I did it when I was in Van Halen. It’s really a celebration of all that history, and we’re the only ones who can do it.”

Hagar will be surrounded by his band The Circle, which also includes former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony. Guitar legend Joe Satriani, who worked with Hagar on Chickenfoot, will also be there.

Hagar also stated that he would have an open invitation policy for other musicians, including former members of Van Halen.

He clarified: “We will invite all musicians from all cities where we play. If there’s a guitar player in town, any city, and he comes to see Joe like he did Eddie [Van Halen], we will include him; The same goes for the other singers, we will include them. If Alex Van Halen wants to join us, if David Lee Roth wants to join us, then come on, you motherfucker. You’re welcome. This is all about Van Halen.”

The 28-date tour, produced by Live Nation, begins July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida and ends August 31 in St. Louis, Missouri. The musicians plan to delve deep into Van Halen’s catalog during these exclusive US dates.

Additionally, remastered editions of all four Van Halen albums featuring Hagar on vocals were released last month in The Collection II box set, which also includes a rarities CD.
