Lisa Kudrow looks back on her friendship with her late Friends co-star Matthew Perry.

Kudrow, who co-starred with the late actor on the sitcom “Friends” from 1994 to 2004, paid tribute to Perry in an Instagram post Wednesday following Perry’s death on Oct. 28. The actress, who played Phoebe Buffay opposite Perry’s Chandler Bing, shared a throwback photo of the couple.

“I shot the pilot “Friends Like Us” and then I was picked up straight away, we were at the NBC Upfronts. Then… You suggested we play poker AND made it so much fun while we initially grew closer. Thank you for this,” Kudrow wrote. “Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said that my muscles ached and tears streamed down my face EVERY DAY.”

Aside from his comedic talent, Kudrow expressed gratitude for Perry’s generosity and resilience.

“Thank you for your open heart in a six-way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of ‘talking,'” Kudrow wrote. “Thank you for showing up at work when you weren’t feeling well and then being absolutely brilliant.”

She concluded: “Thank you for the best 10 years a person can have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for everything I have learned about GRACE and LOVE from getting to know you. Thank you for the time I was able to spend with you, Matthew.” .”

Perry was found dead in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home on October 28. He was 54 years old at the time of his death. After the “Friends” cast shared a joint statement of mourning for Perry, his co-stars expressed individual personal tributes to the actor.

“Oh man, that hit deep… Saying goodbye to our Matty was an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,” Jennifer Aniston wrote on Instagram. “We loved him very much. He was such a part of our DNA. There were always six of us.”

Matt LeBlanc, who played Chandler’s best friend Joey Tribbiani, has shared a number of photos from the show over the years, including one of the cast hugging in a group.

“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. The times we had together were honestly some of the best times of my life,” LeBlanc wrote on Instagram. “It was an honor to share the stage with you and call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I will never forget you. Never.”
