Porn actor Ron Jeremy is set to be released from prison for health reasons

According to the Los Angeles Times, porn actor Ron Jeremy, who was charged in California with the rape and sexual assault of 21 victims, including minors, will be released from prison and moved to a “private apartment” because he suffers from dementia.

According to an email from the Los Angeles district attorney’s office obtained by the newspaper, the septuagenarian, who appeared in more than 1,700 X-rated films throughout his career, has “deteriorated to the point where he is virtually bedridden.”

Therefore, a judge agreed to move him to a “private residence” where he would receive “24-hour medical care” after determining that “no medical facility would accept him.”

This release on health grounds, which was opposed by the public prosecutor’s office, almost eliminates all chances of the actor being brought to trial for the rapes he is accused of.

Dementia is a degenerative disease that usually worsens over time.

In January, the 70-year-old former star was declared mentally unfit to stand trial following a psychiatric report.

Ron Jeremy, the fallen star of adult cinema, was accused of raping three women and sexually assaulting a fourth in June 2020.

His arrest and appearance in a Los Angeles court sparked a new wave of complaints against him and he has been in custody ever since.

The oldest facts come from 1996. In total, Ron Jeremy is accused of various acts of sexual violence against 21 women between the ages of 15 and 51.

The actor has always denied the allegations against him. He declared himself completely “innocent” on Twitter and pleaded “not guilty” to the judge.

In June 2020, his lawyer Stuart Goldfarb flatly denied the allegations against his client and asserted that he was “not a rapist.”

“Ron has been the partner of more than 4,000 women over the years and because of his personality (…). Women pounce on him,” the council said.
