The boss was shot down close to his luxury SUV and had just left a CLSC on the south shore of Montreal.

Witnesses reported seeing a lone suspect fleeing the scene in broad daylight while the mall parking lot was packed.

According to TVA Nouvelles, there is a connection between the SUV fire in Montreal’s Pointe-Saint-Charles district and the murder of Woolley.

The Sûreté du Québec, which is responsible for the investigation, does not confirm the information.

Residents of the area confirm that they have received visits from SQ investigators, particularly to obtain images from surveillance cameras.

One of them was obtained by Le Journal de Montréal and shows a hooded person dressed in black fleeing the scene where the vehicle was set on fire.

A long-term task awaits the investigators. Former SPVQ investigator Roger Ferland is concerned that the “code of honor” is being broken.

The gang leader was allegedly killed in the presence of his wife and day-old baby.

“Even these old ways of doing things don’t hold water right now. “We have the opportunity to eliminate someone, we do it, we use it, regardless of their current rank and status,” he said.

“This murder is not trivial. Mr. Woolley was a crucial person who was able to mediate on both the Italian side, the criminal biker side and the street gang side.
