The Edmonton Oilers could certainly help Kent Hughes solve his problem as they would be interested in signing one of the Montreal team’s three goaltenders.
At least that’s what Sportsnet network journalist Elliotte Friedman reported on Saturday.
However, the latter adds that the Edmonton team will not panic by making a transaction that they may regret in the future.
The Oilers have had several problems in front of the net since the start of the season. They even placed Jack Campbell’s name on waivers before sending him to the American League.
In Stuart Skinner’s case, things aren’t much better. The Oilers’ number one goaltender has just four wins in 12 games since the start of the 2023-2024 season.
