The top 5 finalists were: Australia, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Thailand and Colombia. Of these, Thailand, Australia and Nicaragua made it into the top three.

The top 10 consisted of the following countries: Puerto Rico, Thailand, Peru, Colombia, Nicaragua, Philippines, El Salvador, Venezuela, Australia and Spain.

The top 20 included the following countries: Nicaragua, Spain, Puerto Rico, Namibia, Venezuela, India, Thailand, Chile, Jamaica, USA, Nepal, Peru, Cameroon, Colombia, Pakistan, Australia, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa and El Savior.

Miss Colombia, Camila Avella, and Miss Portugal, Marina Machete, made history. They were the first mother or trans woman to qualify for Miss Universe in 72 editions.

This was also Pakistan’s debut in the competition. The country was able to qualify with model Erica Robin.
