Madonna traveled through Europe on her Celebration World Tour, which began in London last month, after being postponed due to her shocking stay in intensive care in June.
On stage at the Accor Arena in Paris, the singer finally revealed that she had suffered from lung and kidney failure during her life-threatening health crisis.
“I got infected with some bacteria that no one knows about. And there is a 40% mortality rate,” she said, according to The Sun.

The Celebration Tour was scheduled to begin in mid-July with a North American leg that would tour over 20 cities in the United States and Canada.
However, this stage had to be postponed after Madonna’s health suddenly deteriorated, terrifying her global fan base.
She remained in the intensive care unit for several days after contracting what her supervisor said was a “severe bacterial infection.”
A sensational report from Radar Online claimed she suffered acute septic shock and was revived with Narcan, normally used to treat overdoses.
Speaking on stage in Paris during her current stay, she said: “I was in the hospital.” I was in intensive care. “My lungs weren’t working, I couldn’t breathe on my own.”
She continued: “My kidneys were failing.” I became infected with some bacteria that no one knows about. And there’s a 40% mortality rate.”
Madonna recalled: “When I woke up, I saw all my children around me and thought, ‘This is going to save me.’ My children are going to save me. I didn’t save her.’
Guy Oseary, who had been her manager since 2005 and her business partner before that, ran to her bedside as her health deteriorated.
“My manager came to me and cried next to me.” Two weeks later I came home from the hospital and no one knew when I would get better. “He asked, ‘Do you want to go on tour again? Do you want your tour to happen?’” Madonna said.
“I was breathing oxygen through a cannula through my nose, barely able to get out of bed and go to the toilet, and said, ‘Give me two weeks to think about it.’
She reflected, “You know, I consider myself Wonder Woman. ‘I think I can overcome anything, anything, but this time I can muster the will.’
Madonna added: “I didn’t have the strength.” I didn’t have the energy, it was taken from me. So the two weeks went by and I still had hardly any energy. I could drink espresso, four Red Bulls. Nothing woke me up. I had no life force.’

David not only accompanied his mother on tour to provide her moral support, but also to be on stage during the concerts.
During their Paris dates, he was seen accompanying Madonna on guitar on her numbers “Let’s Go Crazy” and “Mother And Father.”
Madonna, who praised David’s birth mother on stage, adopted four of her six children – David, Mercy, 17, and twins Stella and Estere, 10 – from Malawi.
She and a fitness trainer named Carlos Leon have a 27-year-old daughter named Lola, who followed her mother’s footsteps into the music business.
Madge then had 23-year-old Rocco with her husband, film director Guy Ritchie, who she was married to from 2000 to 2008.
