The world of Rachel Norris from Ohio in the United States was marked by the sad but loving farewell to her old companion Charlie. This loyal friend went to puppy heaven surrounded by those who loved him. The moving moment of farewell, filled with love, memories and affection, was taken by a photographer and shared by Rachel on Facebook in the Dogspotting Society group

Charlie was adopted in January 2021 and was already here at that time is 10 years old. He struggled with several health issues, including heartworm disease, a herniated disc in his back, and skin and ear problems.

But despite his hardships, he had a sweet soul, kind eyes and a funny personality that won his owner’s heart.

Looking at a complex medical history, Charlie has experienced a number of challenges since his adoption. Nevertheless, he proved to be a true warrior who faced these battles with courage and determination.

In May, Charlie underwent surgery to remove a lobe of his lung, a necessary procedure to combat an aggressive tumor.

Despite his valiant fight, the tumor proved relentless and soon returned, spreading to the animal’s skin and possibly other organs.

The weekend Charlie left he had the chance to enjoy some of the simple pleasures of the life he loved so much.

The sight of the dog’s joy at his final feast is a memory that will stay with Rachel forever.

Even in the face of adversity, he maintained his cheerful and curious spirit.
