Her time has become even more valuable now that she has become the co-founder of an organic baby food company called Once Upon A Farm.

In fact, she uses her family’s old farm in Oklahoma to supply the company with some fruits and vegetables.

With all the time she puts into the farm and working the land, Garner has truly earned the nickname “Farmer Jen.”

The farm, located near the small town of Locust Grove in northeastern Oklahoma, has been in her family for nearly a century.

According to Southern Living, Garner’s grandparents purchased the 20-acre property, which contained a two-bedroom home with no electricity, no running water and no plumbing, in 1936 for $700.

Her maternal grandparents expanded the farm by an additional 35 acres and grew all types of fruits and vegetables including lettuce, turnips, green beans, tomatoes, English peas, cucumbers, onions and new potatoes, among others.

Over the years it changed hands several times within the family until Garner finally took it over from her uncle Robert with the condition that he and his wife Janet would stay, work the farm and live in the modern house in which they lived built on the property.

Cassandra Curtis co-founded Once Upon A Farm with Ari Raz in 2015 “to create more nutritious, convenient and delicious baby food options for her daughter that were not available at her local supermarket,” the company’s website says.

After creating her own recipes and selling the first cold-pressed baby food at retail, she partnered with industry legend and former Annie’s CEO John Forake and Garner.

Some eight years later, Once Upon A Farm boasts “sold in more than 13,000 stores nationwide, with a growing product portfolio of organic, farm-fresh snacks and meals for babies and big kids.”

While farmer Jen has been open about her calling her family’s farm her “favorite place” on her social media platforms, she still has her day job as an actress.
