Zuheilyn Clemente spoke about the difficult moments she had to experience at Miss Universe 2023 and the results she expected for Honduras

Honduras’ representative at Miss Universe 2023, Zuheilyn Clemente, spoke out after she was not chosen among the semi-finalists of the beauty pageant, despite thousands of people and several missologists seeing her at the top or even winning the crown. Below we tell you what he said.

And she won the national championship in August, and in November she was already in El Salvador, representing the country in the best way. While other candidates had several months or even up to a year to work on the things they needed.

Despite this, the beautiful Catracha managed to place herself in the top favorites of thousands of people, including several beauty pageant experts, who praised Honduras at every opportunity and described her as a contestant with great chances of entering the Top 20, Top 10 . Top 5 and then win the crown.

And Zu not only had the posture of a queen, but also the face and figure of one of the most beautiful women in this issue. Not to mention his excellent oratory skills and clarity when acting in any scenario.

In a live broadcast on her social networks, Zuheilyn thanked everyone for their support during these months and admitted that it hurt her not to win the long-awaited qualification for Honduras, but emphasized how hard she tried.

Zu said when she entered her social media and saw the support people showed her, it filled her heart with joy because she thought, “I’ve done things well.”

“I haven’t just done things for myself, I’ve done it for each of the people I represent and I feel very lucky. “God knows why he does things, and in the end we don’t know what happened,” he concluded.

“Just the fact of being here is an unforgettable experience, very beautiful, it teaches you discipline… Being ready every day at 7:00 a.m., going to bed at 1 a.m. and then the discipline makes you dream “It makes you grow, you get to know other cultures and you learn from many candidates who have a life story to tell,” she said about her stay in the competition, also recalling that she slept very little this week, about two hours as everyone was buzzing with activity before the grand finale.

“Every experience I have had here (at Miss Universe) has made me realize that you are capable of achieving what you want. At the beginning, when I won the national championship, I’m not going to lie to you, I was very afraid, but very, very afraid of not meeting certain expectations, and in the end I realized that I have to meet my own first expectations and I said, ‘I can do better,'” he added.

“I wanted to contact you to tell you that I’m okay now. I cried a little bit (laughs) but now I’m fine, I’m calm now…let’s celebrate and have a good time.” He hinted and revealed that he cried after being unable to to shake your head. The long-awaited ranking of Honduras in the top 20, as it was only achieved in 1955 with Pastora Pagán qualifying among the 15 finalists that year.

“I had hope, in my heart I had hope that they would call Honduras, but at the same time I was proud of what I achieved. I was there, I did my best and I think in the end it’s not the classification that decides, but what you think afterwards. I always gave 100%, at no point did I try to act like another person, I always kept my nature and my culture present and in the end it showed. I had no preparation beforehand and yet I feel like we have put ourselves on the map,” said the Catracha.

Immediately, several of her followers started leaving their messages of support telling her that she is the real queen for them and motivating her to continue participating in beauty pageants.

Zu didn’t rule it out in the future, but for now assured that he was just hoping to relax on one of Honduras’ paradisiacal beaches, as it had been tiring days and wearing heels late into the night.

Referring to the iconic reputation of her name along with that of her country, she said very happily that she has never brought out such a strong voice as that of that day. “My voice had never been so loud, and in that moment, if you heard what I heard. “It was something impressive… The audience shouted ‘Honduras’, the people shouted ‘Honduras’, it was the best,” he said.
