François Morency doesn’t want to do too many seasons: a final season in 2024 for “Discussions with my parents”

series Conversations with my parentsconceived and written primarily by François Morency, will be eligible for a seventh and final season on ICI Télé next fall.

The comedian, who also stars alongside actors Vincent Bilodeau and Marie-Ginette Guay, didn’t want to make the season too long.

“In the world of television, it is a privilege to decide the time of release. The immense success of the series allows me to make this decision, announce it to the team and fans and plan a final season that will be enjoyable and bring this story full circle. An extraordinary project,” said François Morency, in a press release on Monday.

The three main actors of the popular series “Discussions with my parents”, namely Vincent Bilodeau, François Morency (also the originator and main author) and Marie-Ginette Guay.

Concluding Discussions with My Parents, François Morency intends to “bring back certain characters from the first six seasons” just to find out what happened to them.

The comedy is watched by an average of 1,138,000 viewers every Monday night and last September it won the Cogeco Fund Public Favorite Series Prize at Gémeaux.

There are three episodes left in this season, directed by Jean-Carl Boucher and produced by A Média’s Guillaume Lspérance. In addition to François Morency, the lead author, the series was written by Julie Beausoleil and Philippe Gendron. Kristine Metz, Benoit Pelletier and Pierre Prince.
