This minute’s silence will be observed by ministers, Liberal MPs and elected representatives from all other political parties. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was absent. He did not take part in the question time.

Several MPs paid tribute to him and expressed their condolences to his family.

“Since last Wednesday, Quebec has been experiencing immense collective grief and that is normal because it lasts a lifetime. “Karl Tremblay brought us together,” explained Bloc MP Caroline Desbiens.

Conservative MP Joël Godin has announced his intention to posthumously appoint Karl Tremblay as an Officer of the Order of the Pléiade of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie.

“On November 15, a great Quebecer left us,” he explained. Karl Tremblay, singer of the Cowboys Fringants, left a deep impression on us. »
