NFL: He returns from one suspension… to earn another

Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson hit an opponent in the head again on Sunday night.

He used his helmet to hit Minnesota Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs in his team’s 21-20 win. His action caused a fumble and was not penalized. This game marked Jackson’s return to the field after serving a two-game suspension.

The 35-year-old veteran received this penalty because he was sent off in a second game this season. During his seventh week of action, he smashed a Green Bay Packers pass receiver and was shown the exit door. Jackson also saw his Week 2 game against the Washington Commanders end early because of an illegal hit on Logan Thomas.

Because of his multiple dangerous actions, Jackson will serve a four-game suspension without pay, the NFL confirmed Monday evening.
