More than 200 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 7, according to local authorities. Reporting.
On October 11, a group of people coming down from the neighboring settlement with masked faces attacked a house in the Palestinian West Bank village of Qusra, firing at all levels. Four Palestinians were killed that day. “The settlers were here, they shot at the house. They came to burn this family in their house,” says Abdelhakim Wahi, who does not want to forget this catastrophic day.
Seven attacks per day
Qusra lives in constant fear. The village is surrounded by Jewish settlements. The situation was already tense before October 7 and has deteriorated significantly since the Hamas attacks. “Their goal is for us to leave our country and not come back,” says one resident. In recent weeks, Abdelhakim Wahi has been unable to harvest his olives because his field is regularly attacked by settlers. Since October 7, attacks by settlers in the West Bank have more than doubled. The UN averages seven per day.
